Help, My mic just gave up on me
« on: May 12, 2012, 12:08:38 PM »
I have a  Blue Yeti mic, and it's not even a year old, but it died today...

I had my mic all set up for recording and went to close the door and somehow it fell off my desk on the floor...
The cable was still in it so when it fell I think it kinda  'saved' my mic from directly crashing into the floor.

So now the part in the mic where I plug in my cable came loose, it's still inside, but you can move it up/down/sideways and even more inside or outside the hole. When I try to connect it to my pc with a little bit of shifting the cable I can get the indication light to light up, but when you try to mute it with the mute button it should flicker, but it doesn't. And also my computer doesn't seem to see it as connect, and when it does it says it caused a failure or whatever.

So anyone has any ideas if this might be able to be helped, or if I'm just doomed....
