Auto-tune AKA The Believe Effect
« on: December 29, 2008, 12:04:21 AM »
http://www.rockin-the-suburbs.net/forest.dll

Renamed because I'm paranoid about search bots leading to pirate police leading to me destroying Jessica's domain. This is also why this post won't be up very more than a few days. The point of the story is this is Auto-tune. This is how you can achieve what I call "The Cher Believe Effect" because I'm old school but these days it's thought of as more T-pain. The point is, y'all can karaoke Perfume now. Search for tutorials on youtube if you want. I have no real tricks to figuring out the key other than have a good ear. You CAN watch for flats on the little keyboard and figure it out that way but by ear is easier.

It is also a powerful pitch editing tool but don't expect ME to know what the fuck is going on with that. None of the youtube tutorials go over THAT aspect of it X.x

Thank you!  I've been playing with a demo version for a week or so, so  I'm psyched to get a permanent one.  I highly recommend this because it is amazing.   ;D

Thanks for the download.

Just curious, what should I search up on YouTube - I know nothing about the T-Pain affect but I know my bro really wants to use it.

I've been having computer problems, which means some lines that I thought I had posted are not showing up. If I owe you lines that are past due, please send me a PM with a gentle reminder - I'll get them done this week. Sorry about that.

I wish I could use it but I'm using Mac, and there isn't adobe audition for mac, so I can't use the Auto-Tune X_X.

And I really wanted to try it all out. T_T

All I have is Audacity..

This is a VST plug-in, meaning it can be used with any program <3

Except Adobe Audition isn't made for Macs, and apparently never will be.

Hi Hi! One of my special friends who uses this is having trouble with her autotune for Adobe Audition 1.5 -
"I downloaded the forest.dll thing, and put it in my plug ins folder, and tried refreshing the effects menu, as well as restarting adobe audition and my computer but it wouldn't show up in my effects menu"
